first time at the strip EVER

so i went down to the strip tonight to see what my car can do. or what i can do haha..

mods:

3"DDP,testpipe, catback to n1 muffler
custom hardpipes
wastegate shimmed to 13 psi
cone filter
stock turbo
235/40/r17 tires

best time was a 14.00 at 100mph. 60 ft was 2.23. im pretty happy with the result. i was realllly hoping for a 13 but oh well.. only had 4 runs and on the 2nd on i missed 2nd..

lol wow u might aswell slap me in the face and i have read that many times. but im not use to my clutch.. broke it in on the way to the track

i dont think thats too bad for the first time. the 60' could use alittle work but in time right. i'll bet that if you went more often and got some practice then you would be in the 13's for shure. i expect 13's outta my car this summer in its present state and low 13's when i finish the summer mods. but that is all depending on how god of a driver i get to be.

with practice you are for sure in the 13's. top end was a lil low but it can be better

yea next week will be 13 for sure.. i think i was short shifting my motor.. shifting at 5500-6000. going by power drop off, but im going to try and push redline shift next time

Well good luck man. Also did you lower the pressure in your tires too?

yea, couldnt go much lower then 28 psi though.. running on 40 series sidewall is no good for drag racing lol...

lol well good luck at the track next time u run. grab a few cans of that computer equip. duster. Turn that SOB upside down and spray ur IC, intake mani, and 3000 pipe right before u line up.

i will try that.. there is usually about 45 mins between each run though.. and i have my heater on full that whole time. i can also run my car, walk out and grab my upper hard pipe.. still nice and cold
