i was also tunning the maft-pro between every run,
my best run was the last of the night, lol at 9:30 at night

any tips on launching the car with slicks...... rpm? dump clutch or feather it?

I ran about that same E/T with an automatic, but at 103.1 MPH. I think you can use the driver mod most :) Your 2.4 60 ft should be 2.0. They say for every amount you drop from the 60 foot is doubled at the end of your run. You should be able to run a high 12 or low 13 second pass.

Theres no point in running open downpipe. They would probably kick you out because your car is too loud anyways.

i ran with an open downpipe at the track in ontario, never got kicked out.

Try getting some good tires to really help improve the time and the 60fts.

Also, what rpm's were you launching at?

huh?? lol, idk about your track, but there is always race cars out at our track... I don't think there is anything "too loud" at the drag track

Some tracks have DB limitations. Our track is 92 and if louder than that after 10PM, you are kicked out. During the day it's fine.

i can't see the open DP being an issue before 10pm.
i was launching at 2-3000rpm, no matter what i tried i just lit up the tires every time.
there'll be some hoosiers in the back next week.

went again this friday
slicks, 18psi, no odp though..
launching at around 4000rpm

60ft 1.9sec
1/4mile et 12.9sec
1/4mile mph 113mph
IMO my ET should be way lower than that ..

it wont pull hard after 45-4700rpms, the wastgate goes crazy and the power curve flattens out.......????? my avcr shows 1.35bar but it doesnt feel like it..lol

any ideas???

Whats your setup? Cant give any tips if i don't know what you're starting with. What changes have you made since the first trip? You've picked up 4mph, so i assume something was changed....

Get your panties in a bunch often? If you post it and it gets bumped down the page, nobody sees it. Sometimes you have to ask the same question a couple of times for people to see it. Its not like we purposely dodged your thread.

For the record, there is nothing wrong with our search feature. I can't think of a problem you can have that hasn't been covered already. If you search, there is a sticky on here that tells you how to drag race better.

Theres no point in arguing about being open exhaust, you need to find out the rules specific to your track and determine which days are muffled and which days are unmuffled.

Your et is a little slow for the trap speed. I assume you are looking at your peak boost on your avc-r? I know that's about the only thing that is easy to get after a run on that boost control since it only records as a difficult to read graph for 30 seconds. If you still have a stock-style internally gated turbo, there is a good chance it hit 1.35 bar then the boost dropped off in the upper RPM range. This happens when the exhaust forces the wastegate flapper open. Shimming the wastegate or adding a spring to the wastegate flapper can resolve that.

my Rant was a reaction to a bad supra day.. lol
just getting really bitter with the maftpro.. ver4.6 need to try 5.03

my mods:
ffim, 550s,aeromotive afpr, walbro,12volt mod, gt35clone @ 14psi, fmic w/2.5"pipes, ssac mani, tial 44mm WG vent to atmosphere, full mandrell bent 3"pipe, high flow cat, maft-pro(speed density), avcr, aem wb, bully stage 4pp and stage 3 sprung clutch rated at 600+ftlbs.
driveshaft shop steel driveshaft,
theres more that i cant think of.. MHG/studs all there too

i disconnected the avcr and now its running on the spring only 0.9bar, and it's pulling harder than when i had the avcr set to 19psi, i never really liked that thing anyways (too involved)

the car dynoed last year 425rwhp and 450ftlbs at 18psi on 94 octane, so its probably 350 at 14psi?

The AVC-R is a great bc or at least mine is. Are you sure you had it hooked up correctly? I love mine and that's what I'll probably get for my wife's car too. Hopefully you can figure out what was hooked up wrong with it, unless it's just went bad somehow.

i have turned the avcr off and hooked the WG directly to the comp. housing and it runs perfect. 0.87mmhg on avcr gauge

how i had the avcr hooked up:
hose from comp. housing to NO on avcr also tee'd and hooked to bottom of WG.
COM on avcr to side of WG.
NC not going anywhere.

last week i had the avcr in the off position and it hit +1.88mmhg:aigo: thats when i decided to unhook it.

1.88 FTW!!!!

I'll have to see how mine is hooked up, but I have an external wastegate so it's going to be different.
