firefox 4 problem....i need help

i recently got my laptop back after a hd failure. now with firefox4 i have an issue.
when i hit the home page button it opens a new tab that goes to the firefox start page and the current tab goes to my home page.

im new to firefox 4 but my other computer does not do this with firefox4... what do i need to change...and how:1zhelp:

Look under Options, in the General tab, and check what's listed in the startup options.

it is listed as show my home page... that is the first thing i checked. still goes to a second tab with the startup page on it.

Try running Firefox as an admin.

as far as i know i am... there is only my log in on this computer. that would make me the admin? correct?

just checked the control panel... my log in is the admin.

No... to run something as admin, hold shift, right click it from the start menu, and select the option to run as admin.

found the issue.... in the admin run it still had the start page on the end of the msn address. thanks guys... i woulda never found this on my own
