Finally got my own MKIII!

My name is James, I am a Toyota lover. I am a moderator for T4R.ORG, a 4Runner forum. I am a college student and wrenching is one of my hobbies.

My personal vehicles/projects:

99 4Runner (2wd to 4wd conversion, 5-speed swap, supercharged)
87 4Runner (5-speed swap, CT-26 turbo, bought it for $900 from a junkyard)

and now... Very excited to finally be a Supra owner.

89 Supra Turbo

Targa top, white package, blue cloth interior

Car is automatic - yes, it will be 5-speed swapped like the others

129,890 miles, one owner, garaged since new, clean for the age

Blown head gasket is the reason for sale. Rear bumper has a scrape.

I had it in mind to see another Supra today. I stumbled across the craigslist ad for this car posted just one day before. I was the first who called him.

Wow, nice truck builds! I had a 91 4x4 Pickup with 31" BFG AT's and the dreaded 3.0. Now I've got a 99 Land Cruiser with 285 AT's and a long build list ahead.

Looks like you do great work and take plenty of pics. Welcome and please share your build on that white package! We could use more good, clean builds around here. ;)

Welcome!

I actually have a 3rd Gen 4Runner that I'm driving as well. They are great trucks. I've been scrolling through the builds of your 4Runners and I must say they are very cleanly done and well documented with lots of pictures which is great! I never knew that the 4Runners were available turbocharged from the factory, its a very cool vehicle.

The supra looks really clean as well, and I look forward to seeing your Supra build after seeing what you have done with the 4Runners.
