I have an exhause leak in between mani and head at no. 5. I can stick my finger in and feel it blowing. Anything need to be done besides swap the gasket out and clean the surface? And any damage being done to anything else driving it until until I can fix it?

Just make sure you use a genuine Toyota gasket, they are much better quality than the aftermarket ones. Don't be shocked if you find one or more studs loose/stripped and be prepared to do some thread repair if you have to.

Check the manifold surface for cracks or warpage. Replace it or deck it. If it's warped, from my experience, no gasket will seal good. It will still blow.

There's always the double gasket trick. Inline sixes always have exhaust manifold issues.

Stock gaskets are two gaskets riveted together. Just like the picture. Toyota parts FTMFW.
