ES300 Coils

Has anyone ever used these in there setup. I bought 2003 IS300 coils but they sent me a set of 2003 ES300 coils by mistake, It was corrected but was told to keep the ES300s.

So can these work with Proper Modification.?

ES300's should have individual coils (true COP). Did you get 3 or 6 coils?
If you got 6, you may be able to sell them to a standalone user to try to emulate the 1ZZ coil setup, although I've never heard of 1MZ/3MZ coils being used like this.
That type of coil has its igniter built-in, so no external igniter is needed. You just run 12v, ground, and a trigger wire to each coil. The 4th wire is IGF, a confirmation signal that aftermarket ECU's don't usually use.
They will not work with the factory ECU, though.

ya es300 uses the same v6 as the camry which has been tried before and has not worked thats why they sell only the is300 coils.

So what's so great about the 1zz coils? Are they that much more powerful than these 1mz coils?

the is300 coils are 2jzge.

I know that, they're what I'm running on my 7M, per the tooquik mod (2JZ-GE coils and wires)

What I was referring to is the 1ZZ-FE coils I've read about at various places being put on high HP engines. They are a true COP coil, just like the ES300 coils he has, but you say that the ES coils have been tried before, but without good results. I'm wondering what's so good about the 1ZZ coils vs his 1/3MZ coils, that's all.

Yes, I have all 6 coils. I would like to use them if it is possible to get them to work. I am going AEM which is why I sold all the MAFT Pro and Boost controller Hardware.
