Engine Idling at 1900 RPM

when i start my car it is idling at 1500 RPM, and as i drive through the day, it starts to idle at 1900 RPM? whats wrong, it never idles below 1500 RPM and i am getting a poor 13 MPG city,

i have an 87 N/A supra 5 speed

check timing and your t.p.s sensor.

i would check for a vaccum leak. intake gasket, vaccum lines, make sure you didnt crack a vsv connection or anywhere a vaccum line connects to something.

Beside checking the things listed before, check the little nut and stud on the throttle stopper. If it becomes loose, it will start to move forward, thus increasing your RPM.

I dont think a code would cause a high idle, but check your codes.
