Dyno'ed Today, nothin big......

I wanted to get one more basline dyno before i did the the 5spd swap and the AFC NEO in a couple months. The guy at TorqueFreaks who dyon'ed it said A) my torque convertor was slipping, and B) that i was running STUPID rich. I also have a slight miss in the 1500-2000 range, may be higher up to but cannot hear it.

sometimes with my MBC i can pull like 11lbs(only on freeway) but TF said they only got 9 outta it, is that from my torque convertor?

Fuel curve looks pretty normal for stock untuned until about 5700... I'd look into that before you go any further with mods.

for being auto with a slipping converter it seems good.. on my 5 speed at 10 psi with exhaust and a filter i did 256/275 on a 105* day in fl..

Oh man, nothing like a 7M. Sooo much torque.

(to prevent this from becoming a 7M vs. 1J thread, i should also say that I'm quite a fan of the 1J as well)

Thats the kind of numbers I saw with nothing but a MBC.

That was with stock exhaust, but I had a 5 speed. from the restrictive exaust it would only push about 8 psi above 3500 rpms.

so, in theory, couldnt i add an adjustable Lexus AFM from say suprasport and the added air would lean out my afr? becuase those are off the chart rich numbers once i get to about 5500 RPM.

^ You could possibly be playing with fire if you do it that way. Before people start arguing, yes, it's been done without 550 cc or larger injectors, but you better have a nice tune on the dyno right off the bat first. I would at the least get an Aero AFPR alond with the lex AFM so you can compensate some with higher fuel pressure.
