dying altenator

I took my 86.5 3.0na to n.c. on the way back volt guage would drop to 12 then in a few miles jump back to 14.7 in that area where she usually stays,checked wiring ,belt cant find obvious problem,reckon she is dying,,thoughts,thanks mmkkpro

Check the brushes. Common symptom.

+1. Iirc the brushes were like 11$ from toyota but that was years ago.
