dropping the tranny

hey i gotta change my clutch, first time doing it. I am using the guide found here: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=MT&Page=4

Do i really have to drain out the tranny fluid or can i drop it with the fluid intact?

You can do it without draining but if you tilt it all the oil will pour from the rear seal and make a mess.

they make plugs that will fit in the rear of the trans and keep the oil in. but is it really worth it? i assure you that if you try and drop the trans without draining it you will at one point spill fluid out the back. trans fluid is not epencive, and its good to change it anyway.

Drain it and refill it with Redline MT-90 if you haven't already.
