Does that middle trim piece on the rear 89+ tails center section..

come off? And you can you swap the piece onto the pre-89? I need new trim and well.. I want it plastic. I hate when the middle section doesn't match though.... its a big eye sore to me just like un-molded bomex rears and universal lug nut wheels.

I believe the thread on LED's had them taken apart. Can't remember anything about that thread, and don't know if it would fit the pre 89.

Orginal moulding can be removed from steel panel

Glue over top of 89+

I had to cut mine off the 89+ to make it come off. There is no way to just "swap" them easily. With some custom work it could be done though.

Thats what I did, and I used a paint marker to do the lettering. I think it turned out pretty good....(p.s., this was before I got the correct wing!)

You just need to change those old bolts that hold on the plate

Haha, yeah, Duane, I did, this pic is a couple years old. You have a sharp eye. I fixed the condensation in the taillight too.
