Ok guys nothing big right now, just replacing the hg. The po slapped an hks on there with no machine work and it wont seal against the block. Car was doing the overflow trick.

For now, just replacing with a stock composite gasket. The entire engine will be coming out this winter to be machined and built to hold some power.

Anyways here are some pictures of the car and the head gasket job. I just got the head off today, still waiting on parts to come in. Man this thing was dirty and half the damn bolts where finger tight, no wonder it was leaking oil. I hate it when people do things half assed, esp when they are doing an upgrade to an hks and arp's lol.

NICE turbo man :aigo:

Yea its screwed lol. The part I dont understand is it doesnt make any weird noises, spools fine and has minimal shaft play. I dont know what to do tho because I cant rebuild it atm.

Wow! Something really ate that wheel up!

Looks like a pretty clean car man, good luck with your build!

Yea there is alum shavings everywhere. The car is clean, the e-bay and engine are NOT lol this is the most oil caked sob I've ever worked on. Not to mention all the ghetto rigged stuff under the hood from the po, gonna have my hands full getting this back to decent condition.

Well just an update. Got the headgasket kit in and just got done putting the hg on and torquing the head down. Gonna let it sit overnight then recheck the torque then onto the rest.

Got some more work done. Head is on, timing is set, exhaust and turbo are ready to go. Should have the intake on tomorrow if I have time.

I just got this car about a month ago from someone in upper sandusky. We actually met in mansfield and I traded my civic for his supra.
