Might seem random to some, but I need a clear way to determine whether a camshaft outside of the head is a turbo or NA camshaft by the naked eye. I have infront of me two camshafts. One I can guarantee is a NA cam and the other a unknown cam. The only numbers I can find on the camshafts is on the NA cam, a 1 between adn 3rd and 4th cylinder and a 2 on the unknown cam between the 3rd and 4th cylinder. otherwise the cams appear very similar. also these are just intake cams.

any help is appreciated if this is not possible to determine without using a dial indicater and a lathe then ill just get a used turbo cam off someone cheap.

Grab a caliper and measure the lobe, takes two seconds. Exhaust cams by the way are identical between turbo and NA.

bah for some reason i was thinking they were the same lift with different duration. k will do thanks everyone
