Greetings SupraMania,

My name is Jill and for those of you who do not know me, I own a 1990 MK3 with a 1JZGTE and R154 that I dropped in with a few of my close friends here in SoCal. I did the build from a rolling chassis and a 1JZ Clip, to what it is now. Still in the works, but he is progressing along quite well... :) My dad had a 79 MK1 and an 87 MK3 and i vividly remember the MK3 from when i was little. He passed away in 2009 on my birthday and out of nostalgia, decided to build one in remembrance of him. I frequent SF more often, and just joined SoCal as well. Why not add to the list...

Hi Guys!!! ;)

Oh trust me, it sure is a money pit... For now I'm going to rebarrel the wheels, give them more lip... And paint. Eventually. Hoping to start grad school so I can't put too much into it...

Lol. Well good thing it's in a girl's car...

It's actually what sets me apart from just being another 1J... That, and being a girl helps too. ;)

I dunno, but there's a gigantic "Kaizen" sticker in the engine bay... Hmmm. I wonder how that got there!!??

Hi there Jill and welcome to SM. I really liked the story behind your build. I want to ask you, how will you get the barrels for you G7's?? I have a pair that if I don't sell will eventually make it onto my supra.
I talked to a few guys, Mastermind in Santa Fe Springs can custom rebarrel for like $1700 a set. I think the about the same for VR Wheels in City Of Industry... It's pricey but worth it.

I can barely see it.. If I squint really hard I can make it out. But yea I hear those Kaizen guys are cool. :)

Hi Jill! WELCOME!!!

You are clearly not a "noobie-girl" from your past and present activities! Cool beans!

Honestly, I almost got "choked up" a bit thinking about the passing of your dad and your continuation with the Supra kind... it's a storyline that is SO much more important than the platform itself, and really makes the entire process much more meaningful! I really like that and wish you the BEST!

LOVE the ZEBRA PRINT heels next to the Valve Covers! NICE TOUCH!

In my case, despite having FOUR children... they are a bit young (4,6,9,12) to get too terribly "into" daddy's CAR EXPLOITS... so MY hope is simply that my "playing" with my car isn't DETRACTING from the parent/child experience! To know that YOU are perpetuating a hobby/interest that your father shared is really touching to me, as it ALMOST makes me feel better for spending so much time enjoying the silly CAR! (Of COURSE, my kids are the priority... but sometimes, I still feel guilty that I like cars, too!)

...anyway... SM is a GREAT place, and although I've not spent a LOT of time in SF... I'm trying to appreciate what the Supra Community in BOTH have to offer. Good of you to make the bridge in here with us as well.:)

Thank you all for the kind words and support. I am the super lucky one, I'm fortunate to be living in SoCal with a vast abundance of experience and knowledge around me to get this project to where it is and where I want it to be... Especially, BIG THANKS to Jose of Kaizen Motorsports. My car would not exsist without him. If it wasn't for our trip to source a brake caliper for my Scion tC, I wouldn't have stumbled upon my engine!!! Then of course with all of the Supras he had available, I gave this one a new life. I had my engine before the car!!! Hahaha. THANKS JOSER!!! <3
