Cracked Head vs BHG

Don't know shit about cars...

but before i fork out my money to go fix a BHG I dont wanna find out later on down the line that it was a Cracked head or block..

is there a way to tell the difference?:1zhelp:

no there is not unless you have it magnafluxed or x-rayed.
Though with that said, i have seen very few cases of a cracked head or block.

Cuz white smoke doesn't come out the exhaust no more just starts to overheat....

it basicly runs fine untill you hit the block a couple of times and then the temp gauge gets to jumping and i cut it off...

can't magnaflux aluminum, but you can do the block. to determine whether your head is cracked, you'd need to do a dye penetrant inspection.

a good shop should do these inspections upon disassembly.
