So I'm putting an oil cooled only turbo on and have read that I need to loop the water line and "just plug the ports off" which is it? Can someone explain why I should loop it as apposed to just plugging it off, and please don't just say " because it needs to flow" thanks.

Iirc it's the bypass path. Put another way it needs to flow...
Yeah it is, so if you don't loop it your engine may warm up unevenly. When the thermostat is closed, coolant flows through these lines to keep coolant within the block circulating, and if you just cap it off, you lose that circulation.
