mercuryfreak200

?Which parents?
:biglaugh:I went and got a rear diff for my 88 turbo and was wondering do you still have to put in the additive stuff with the gear oil? Also I can't find 90 weight oil any where which is what is called for this time of year and the parts store told me its a special kind that toyota sells, somthing to the effect of "hydrostatic" oil? Thats what they said I believe. Thanks Again.:icon_razz

...and start out with NO friction modifier. Do a few figure eights in a parking lot, if its clunking and grabbing, add 1/2 ounce at a time until its operating smoothly.

Grim has a good point there. You will want to test like he says because things can get too slippery in there and the LSD wont lock up as well. The more worn out the LSD the less friction modifier.
