Cold start Injector Differences......

Hey you all.

I just have a Quick Question. I have 2 cold start injectors sitting here and both of them came from a 7MGTE but they are different Lengths. One is just skinny with the spray Nossle at the end and the other one is about a inch shorter and has a piece on the end of it with the spray nossle inside that. Can anyone tell me which one is the correct one.

IIRC the shorter cold start injectors belong to the 7MGE

I've always been told that GE and gte used the same ones. Maybe it is a change over the years. Maybe my sources were wrong.

Well, they have different part numbers...

23260-49116 7MGE
23260-49126 7MGTE

Thanks all. I want to make sure that I put the correct one back into the engine once I start building it. there might be some differences in the 2 and Im sure there is a reason why they put longer ones in there.

IIRC they won't interchange at all because the flanges are at different angles (it's obvious if you try it). That is if you have one from a GE and GTE. They did revise the injector over the years though...
