Code 52 and super LEAN

im throwing code 52 (knock sensor)...
As well as running Lean- therfore overheating!!!

Setup-
1JZ Stock internals
HX35 single turbo (6LBS)
EXT wastegate
EUGO
APEXI AFC

Would a O2 sensor help... I mean im sure the problem is due elswere but it would hurt im sure.

I just took the car (S13) out for a little test drive and she pulls hard.. shes running hot at 190+

Check to see if your knock sensor plugs are actually plugged in. has nothing to do with an 02 sensor.

A fault in the knock system is either: knock sensor, wiring to knock sensor, or ECU.

And BTW. every 1jz and 2jz I ever drover runs at 180-200degrees.

How do you know you're running lean, using a wideband? You said EUGO, I assume you meant UEGO, as in AEM UEGO?

How lean IS it running?

Also, the thermostat doesn't open till 190-195 degrees, so anything within 10 degrees of that is normal operating temp. Actually, you're safe up to 230 degrees or so before it's really considered overheated. Some cars with OEM electric fans don't turn the fans on till about 220 degrees.

thanks guys, yes im running a AEM UEGO
I will check tose knock plugs...
And the A/F is off the guage, its all red and to the right O_O

If it's super lean do yourself a favor and don't drive it, could save yourself some money down the road.
