So I found out my project mk3 I got had a bad battery so I replaced it and the car started with no issue drive it around the block and get code 51 & 52 so I read how to fix them, follow the instructions and rest the ecu and try again.... Now car won't start at all cranks for days but won't start research code 12 and found out about the CAS and go looking and found what your see below does anyone agree this could be whats causing my code 12 issue? It spears the wires coming from the harness are literally coming apart.. If it possible to troon the plug with better write our should I just replace the entire plug?

wow!!
mine looked like this but not as bad
i soldered all of mine back together and havent had problems
but it does look like some of the wires at the connector are breaking as well

IMO i would get new pins and add some new wire
id say cut about 3-4 inches of wire off and add new

Yeah thats coming sometime this week... Weird thing is I disconnected the battery and let it set and hooked up the battery cart fired right up again... Drive around the block... Soon as I hit boost cel came on check it again 51 & 52 again... This is becoming a pain in the ass I hate electrical gremlins

i have code 51 set from time to time but the CEL never comes on
when i 1st acquired my supra about 7 months ago i had code 52 as well
found somebody had did the knock sensor rewire but the wires broke off both plugs
another knock sensor rewire and 52 has never came back lol

did you do the knock sensor rewire? did you used shielded wire?

I actually just did the rewire with new wires someone had made for sale on another forum. Because the PO of the car did it half ass and didn't know what heat shrink or even electrical tape was and just left them dangling at the KS connector, I believe the culprit is this project has completely killed my reading comprehension skills and I missed the part where you're suppose to ground the new wires.... While I did wire in all the wires that were connected at the ECU side (Bunch of brown wiring in the main harness spliced in to the KS wires) I never grounded them.... So I know what I'll be doing this weekend.... More F'ING wiring... I hate it... I just want to drive the damn thing and boost with no issues LOL. What really burns me up is the guy I bought the new rewired KS wires never attached a ground to them like the write up on here suggests and obviously the PO was a moron and never read far enough in to it to ground them either so I had no clue.. I skimmed through said oh run to ECU and be done easy enough... Oh well it's my fault I can't blame anyone else, just have to get the shit done... Thanks for all your help. I'm guessing the 51 is due to my TPS, I read through some other threads on that and I'm starting to believe that might be bad too.... I guess this is what I bought the damn thing for right? As a project to continually work on it and never see it run LOL.

oh yea i forgot you had a 51 code lol
you know whats funny
when i got my supra CEL was on...checked and got 12, 34,41,51 and 52
funniest part about all of that...car ran so good i drove it home 100 miles lol

i still havent messed with my tps lol
someday i shall adjusting(per tsrm) or replace it with the other 1 i bought off a here lol

in the rewire for KS they say to ground out the shielded wire on the ecu side
i grounded mine on the drivers side strut tower
but thats b/c my harness is a cluster near my ecu and thats all i need is more wires over there lol

your project could be worse
after i did my KS rewire, a brand new afm($600 from toyota), cps wire repair, new diff cover, all 4 new struts and lowering springs(old struts where blown out badly)
i daily drove that bitch for 6 wonderful months but never could boost of 4-6psi

just 3 weeks ago i removed tired stock ct26 to install my new ct26 46trim
low and behold my old CT had 8 huge cracks around wastegate flap lol wonder why i could get more boost

so now i have been running my new turbo to find my HG is bad and my radiator is leaking lol
it was a wonderful 6 months with little to no problems lol

That sucks big time! I was told by the previous owner the headgasket had been done recently... After seeing some of his backyard mechanic skills and having no paper work to prove it, I was very skeptical... Much to my surprise when I pulled the alternator to do the rewire you can see where the block has been machined very recently I'm super happy about that part.... Now if I can just drive it so I can try to blow it again that would be nice LOL.
