Clutch question

So after looking around on the forum and not really finding a direct answer to this question i thought Id ask here....

Im using a w58 with my 7mgte...A member on the forum has a w58 clutch he is selling that he is using with his 1j. Im not 100% sure that it will not work but can someone that knows the exact answer chime in?

i know the m and jz are 2 different engines, but I also know you can use r154 and w58 with both engines....lol this is my first supra and I come from the sr20 world lol.....

The friction disc and pressure plate are transmission specific, however the flywheel is both transmission as well as engine specific. For example, a flywheel used in a W58 and 7M combination will not work with a W58 and 1JZ combination. However a pressure plate or friction disc made for the W58 will work with either engine.

To answer your question, the friction disc and pressure plate will work.
