Most of the mk4 supras have dead hatch struts by now. A set of new ones at the toyota dealer? $250... wow thats a bunch of cash.

However, the ones at the parts store for the mk3 supra fit great. Only minor modding required. You have to use the stock mk4 hatch side bracket. That means you have to cut the "socket" open on the stock hatch strut, and not hurt the ball on the bracket. I used a dremel, split the socket, and pulled the bracket out. The mk3 hatch struts will then clip on it, the lower bracket works fine on the mk4. Just make sure to remember the gasket, and use nicer bolts than what comes in the strut kit. Stainless looks good.

The hatch struts are inverted from the stock mk4, but will clear everything and hold the hatch up great(since the mk4 hatch is lighter). Takes about an hour to replace both, and cost less than $60.

I went through 20 different sets trying to find something that would work fairly easily. The mk3 ones are the best/closest thing to stock.
