I have HKS 272s for my 1jz, Can i installed them on my stock valvetrain & not valve float??? MY rev limit would be 7.5k, I do have a MasterPower T70 with a .68 ar exhaust housing & i love the spool on that thing... Yes, I did a search & got nothing regarding this... :cry:

You know, the numbers '272' don't mean a damn thing.

You should be fine with stock springs @ 9.3mm lift to 7500.
With HKS cams, you should still be non-interference.

i would change the springs.doward is right to ask about the #s,but how old are your springs? did you pull one to check coilbind? are they the ones that came in the motor? the same old ones that someone else beat on. change them.

We can all debate what we think is okay but ultimately it's up to you. Go read up on SF ZaZZn's group buy feeler for the crower regrinds and see what he did with the stock JZ springs.
