after my other thread, its become apparant that its nearly impossible to compare cams just by name and manufacturer. most people end up wanting one came due to its namesake but buying another because of its price tag or foregoing that cam for a regrind from a 3rd party because it seems possible to get the same cam as the 1st (expensive) option at a fraction of the price because it has the same "name"... only to find out its not the same animal. i think we need to start a list of cam cards for future reference so we arent just playing a name game when it comes to picking cams.

how bout this format for entering all the pertinant info (or a clear picture of your cam card);

Since i dont have cams for my 7M as of yet, ill post an example using the cam i have for my 79 Trans Am 6.6L

NOTES: Largest hydraulic cam possible while still maintaining vaccum assist brakes. Regrind of original 1970 Ram Air IV "T" camshaft. redline of 5900rpm. poor idle quality and strong mid range. recurve distributor, large stock carb or aftermarket unit. aftermarket manifold, 10.5:1 to 11:1 static compression, mild port work recommended. manual trans or high stall converter to be used. final gears of 3.90-4.50.

PS: the card didnt have the LSA listed. is there an easy way to figure it out from the valve events?
