broken glovebox hinges no more!

One side of my glovebox hinges were broken and the other was cracking too. Do I search for another from salvage and have the same weak, old plastic? No. I'll make it better! So I cut off most of the plastic from the glovebox and the cut four strips of aluminum about 1/2" wide. Drilled and used 4mm bolts with flat washers and lock washers on inside. Still opens and close nice and smooth. If the plastic part that screws to the dash breaks I could do basically the same for it. Sure it could be done better and cleaner, but you don't see it and this was so simple and took like fifteen minutes.

you cant see that area so whats the difference? this is one of the few times when a home depot fix is acceptable in my opinion.
