I recently installed a new GReddy/Trust Type R bov. I am using the standard spring. I have the adjustment screw almost all the way out ( soft ) but there is no bov sound. All I get is turbo chatter from the air filter. I pulled it apart, and checked the spring, it is rather soft, but at stock pressure, it would be too hard to open the valve. So, I cut about half a twist off the spring. It now starts to make the sound the Type R should, and alot less turbo chatter. It is looking like the more I drive it, the less chatter, and the more bov sound it makes. I have never heard of a bov needing to be broken in. Does anyone know how to fix this? I got this BOV simply because of the unique sound it makes. Now if I can just get it to sound like it should.....Any help is great.

not to worry this has all been resolved by GReddy themselves. I was informed it was a fake. There is a dispute thread on this. Mods please either delete or lock this at your free time.
