if you have some kind of aftermarket intake system you can hear a faint pshhh or something to that effect. i know i can hear mine pretty good. as far as sound goes, its just right in my opinion.

It is called inflation and a weak dollar. It's gone up $10 since I bought it last year. Also, the 110 model was always more expensive than the all plastic 104 model.

FYI, if you live in a hot state (like Texas) the plastic ones have a tendency to wear out prematurely. I have had my '89 7MGTE for over five years and have gone through two plastic models. Wanted to suggest an alternative: 034 motorsports has an aluminum version, exact same size, that is more heat resistant and can be rebuilt (if necessary) called "Bypass Valve, 034 Spec": http://www.034motorsport.com/turboc...ecirc-valves-bypass-valve-034-spec-p-781.html It comes in aluminum or anodized black. It's $104 with shipping as of 10/12/11.
