boost question?

ok this was probably already covered but i couldnt find the thread. i have a manual boost controller, an intake, and a full 3 inch exhaust. i have my boost controller all the way open and i read about 8 to 9 pounds of boost but i shimmed me wastegate even though its not recommended and im still reading the same boost on my gauge, why is that?

Do you have an after market boost guage? If so where are you tapped into the boost source?

if its an aftermarket gauge and it is attached to the correct vaccum lines I would guess you have a boost leak somewhere.

yeah its an aftermarket gauge and i have it tapped in correctly. ill check for leaks and get back to you guys.
