Hey guys, I was just wondering how much weaker an '89 block will be if it is bored .20 over. Will it be able to handle upwards of 400HP without being sleeved or anything like that? I am already planning on having ARP everything, (rods, mains, and head).

My personal feeling is that 400 is nothing on a motor bored 20 over. Won't be a problem at all. You can't sleeve a already cast iron block. The 91 blocks are stronger than the pre89 blocks.
