black mkIII production #'s

Hey everyone,
I'm new here and have begun the search for a black 89-92 supra. I have seen the production numbers for these years, and I know they are pretty low, but how rare is a black one? Also, I want a targa, turbo, and 5spd.....I have seen a few for sale here and there, but far more reds, silvers, etc. Just how how hard is it going to be to find one of these cars in black, especially with these options? :1zhelp:

Are you looking for a Turbo-A black supra?? If so I believe only 500 were made, if that is what you were referencing to "rare".

No, I am not looking for the Turbo-A or any other limited edition models, just factory black supras from those model years. It just seems they are a bit harder to find.

I have seen quite a few black supras in that year range I even have 2 in my backyard =p

i see almost ever color supra here local or at a junk but imo teal supras are the rarest color you can find.

Ill take a black/black sunroof over a targa, but i do agree teals are prolly the rarest that or pearl white cars.

yes i love hardtops espically blacks my fav color for any car in general...plus 92 your sitting on gold bro....haha

I figure I got about 6 months till that perfect car shows up I settled on my last car for not exactly what I wanted, and I regretted it right up until I sold it! Well, judging by the responses I shouldn't have too hard a time finding that black model.....

I think you should be more original. IMO black is over rated. I don't want to diss your post but there is so many nice colors out there. I would take my pearl white or a teal over black anyday.

TurboA's are a Japanese model and are an 87/88 model.

In Japan, they go by the year of actual production, which would make my '89 an '88, and my '92 a '91...

the US likes to use the next year as the model year if it's past a certain point. So while the Turbo A was produced in '88, by US standards, they would be considered '89's..

yea the pearl white hella stands out compared to the white package cars...i have two friends with 89 white packages....

damn totaled it..?
