i just finished a project and the car my friend bought came with safc ii. it was all wired for the karman sensor and everything else is wired right. but when i first started the car threw a afm meter code and when i go to meter the air flow it reads 0.0%. so i changed the sensor with a known working sensor (mine) and still the same thing. so i jump the stock afm wires back together and no more check engine light. everything else works but the air flow meter on the safc ii. i read in the manual if you dont unplug your battery before you unplug your ecu with the safc installed in the harness it might throw and engine code permanently. has this happen to anyone? is there a way to fix it?

check and make shure you have the right wire on the sensor and your input and output is connected to the right side.
