Hey guys;

I tried searching but couldn't find a definitive answer. My 7mgte crank has been chewed by a slightly loose crank pulley. A local wrecker gave me a 7mge out of a cressida. Before I give this crank to the shop whose building my motor, I'd like to find out. I haven't got it out completly so I dont know if it's a 6m or 7m yet. I don't know if this matters either. Thank you in advance.

They both work.

You need to do some 1st grade math to figure out your bearings. Consult the repair manual for the explination. It is quite easy.

Thanks a lot guys,

I wasn't sure if the turbo cranks were harder or balanced or whatever. I had a suspicion that the N/A & turbo ones were the same but didn't want to find out after installation. I know the 6M is lighter and the 7M is balanced, so IMO I get a benefit from either. Whether it's less rotating mass or a balanced crank,it matters not to me, I don't see a downside from either. Thanks for the quick replies. I'm gonna post a build thread once this thing is worthy :naughty: .
