I just dont see the point of doing the swap. I mean if the LSX was going into lets say a fox body mustang it would make sense because the car weights 2900 lbs. The MKIII is a big girl though so in reality after all that money its like having a stock camaro with an MKIII body. Then again if you are gonna go with a V8, LSX motors FTW!!! Especially an LS7.

I've been looking around and their is a good amount of MK3 supras with the 350 in it. I have talked to a few people and they said its not that hard of a project. I can get a LS1 cheap, I'm supposed to talk to a friend this week, he is like a master of building anything/everything and can tune anything, so I'm gonna see whathe says.

The 1UZ's respond VERY well to supercharging, If I recall correctly there was an article about someone with a 1000+ horsepower 1UZ (Not in a lexus though). The stock internals are plenty strong, and there's a decent line of aftermarket parts for it.

I was looking about this swap, how difficult is it, is it a straight foward swap or is their alot of fabrication involved?

Snaked it off of Ebay.. This would get you started if you have an R154.

Its a 1uz from an SC400, but ya any of the lexus 400 cars.

the swap is easy, and you can do anything to it that you can do to any other motor. and there is decent support for parts. check out www.uza70.com i sell everything needed to do the swap to a mk3 supra.

If you went Lsx, I would build up a LQ9 block to a 408 before I would to the LS7. LS7 has to thin of walls for being a small block. Ive seen the 408 short blocks forged go for $4k. Then just find a camaro that blew a rod and strip it for the rest and you'll have a killer FI/NO2 motor.
