I've researched both of those tires. I ended up going with Kumho Ecsta 711 for the increased rain, mud, and snow wider gaps and deeper tread. My fronts have 20k and still look great, with alot of tread left. The rears wore out in 10K cause I push the car harder than I (yea right !!!!!!!) should. Got 'em at America's Tire Co. (same company as Discount Tire Co.) fronts: 225/50-16.....$81...rears: 245/50-16 ..$90
Installed and balanced. They handle great on the mtn roads. LSD rear end.

I had the Kumho ecsta 711 for a while and they are alright. But you should consider the new Kuhmo SPT, I have them on stock sawblades and they are awsome. I got them from tirerack.

There's nothing wrong with Hankook tires. Hankook and Kumho are both made in the same country, and they both have tire models that absolutely kick ass for the price.
