Its the KDC-MP628. I've read a lot of good reviews about it and it has all the features I want (aux in, rca outs, motorized faceplate). Plus, I loved my last Kenwood. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with this specific receiver.

not that specific one, but i've had a lot of kenwood in the past. great quality. you might want to look into the comparable eXcelon model (kwood's higher end line) as those tend to have better amps.

I have that exact radio.....its very nice. I've had no problems with it, and I've had it for 6-7 months now. Very clean sound, and wads of features.

Sidenote.... It has a built in G-Meter(accel, decel, lateral G's for both directions) with peak hold to play with. I've got .87 G on the accel, and .90 G for left and .88 G right as the max I've hit.

Kenwoods in general last forever. Some mp3 cds doesn't play in Kenwood depending on how it's encoded. Make sure you read up about it.

I think my Kenwood model is 919 - not sure. It's been good to me.
