Like everyone has said, older Porsche vehicles are expensive to maintain. The 944's are nice budget Porsche cars. They are quick and handle well. A real Porsche though is a 911. Those are expensive.
I know several people who have had 944's, 911's, 928, Turbos, Carerra 4S. They all get rid of them after a few years because of the maintenance costs or the soon to be maintenance costs. My neighbor who had a turbo, told me that getting the car is easy, its the maintenance that'll break you. He eventually got rid of it.
I was considering buying a Carerrea 4S from a guy I know who has two. But I think the eventual maintenance costs would have been too high. But I'm still thinking about it.
