Any body know anything about a 83 BMW 745 turbo

Well I found a what I think in the US is a rare car for a decent price. The bads about the car it supposedly needs a new thermostat and a heater core both easy fixes from what I have researched. The car has 183000 miles on it and is turboed. I think I can get it for around 1500 bucks. My big problem is I really can't find much info on these cars about what there problems are. So any info would be helppful. I will try to get pics up for everyone to see it.

From the wiki on the 7-series, confirming just what I thought:

"Many turbocharged 745i models made their way into America during the height of the grey market in the mid-1980s."

There ya go, was a grey-market car.

Ya thats what I found to. What the heck is gray market?

Gray market is where cars that weren't intended for a particular area end up there anyway. See pretty much any cool JDM car the Canadians get, cars like what you posted, late 90's Elise here in the USA, etc... Major pain in most places, but cool in the end if all works out.
