Another What single turbo kit shoul I put Thread

Hi,

i'm in the process of converting my 1jzgte non vvti to single turbo !

My goal is 400-450whp

current mod are

-Driftmotion FMIC
-HKS BOV
-MS3 ECU
-Complete R-Star 3inch catless turboback
-Driftmotion Stage 3 clutch kit

Now my big hesitattion is

Should i buy a complete driftmotion turbo kit or build my own kit?

Are driftmotion kit anygood? durability?

I bought their kit without the turbo and didn't run into major issues. You'll want to get a better wastegate, but for a budget setup it's perfect. I've bought thousands worth of parts from them and have no complaints.

It comes with a wastegate, but it's not very good. It works, but you'll want to upgrade. Everything else was there minus the fitting for the turbo oil feed.

And you'll need to buy an intercooler/piping. Siliconeintakes.com has all the piping you need. Get the turbo on, then measure and buy the pipes.

Nothing is ever 100% bolt-on. There's probably other stuff you might need to do, but that's the way it goes...
