Greetings from Wisconsin everyone.

Now that is finally starting to warm up I can start working on the supra. It all started in January when I saw a local Facebook ad of a 1990 Toyota supra turbo roller. As a roller obviously it didn't come with an engine, Trans or driveshaft. The car itself I was told is the "white" edition. I found that to be unique. I am a fox body guy so this is a little different approach.

Picked it up with the f150

The car has been sitting in my shop since January. Since it didn't have a motor I obviously had to find one. Not to long after I had bought the car I found a semi rebuilt 1jz with stock twins locally! The motor has new valve seals, shimmed cams, and new seals/gaskets all around. Saves me the hassle of doing it.

The motor came with the basic accessories. It did not come with an engine harness, ecu or trans. I had to start located everything needed for the swap on the internet. Lots of sourcing! It really isn't fun trying to find every piece separately.

I ended up finding a r-154 Trans locally

Got a brand new soarer harness and ecu

I have received almost everything need to finally do the swap. An oil pan is currently on its way. The motor came with a front sump so it will not work. I will be selling the front sump on here shortly.

I am building this car just to be a unique daily driver. I do not drift nor do I race. I am not trying to pump massive amounts of horsepower it. It would just be sad to see this car get crushed if no one bought it.

I have been picking up a lot of misc. parts for the build too. Not needed but i got almost everything for the right price.

Slightly used driftmotion exhaust

Brand new driftmotion lightweight 11.5lb flywheel, driftmotion downpipe, map sensor, and mkiv throttle cable.

I have a cheap twin turbo header coming as well. I have bought everything off of Facebook pages and eBay. Haven't bought anything from specific websites yet.

Before I drop the motor in I plan on repainting the engine bay. May be a little work but I do want it to look nice. Also I will be painting those what I think are hideous valve covers white or blue. Along with that I plan on getting the little rust fixed and repainted the stock white.

Let me know what you all think! If you have and suggestions or opinions don't hold back. As soon as I start bolting everything up I am sure I will be asking a number of questions. Hopefully you guys can help me!

Welcome to the supra world. Your head will spin once you start to realize how much more it costd to build a supra compaired to a mustang. That being said, i love my mk3 money pit.

Good luck with the build Danny! I use to own a 90 Fox body Mustang and it was fun to drive but the Supra is a much better car IMO. The 1J swap is a good starting point.

I hear ya! Just hit $5000 today. Could definitely do it for cheaper but like I said this will be a nice daily driver. I do not mind throwing extra money. I really want to get a nice clean set of white saw blades. There are only 3 white ones on the car. They are not in the the greatest shape.

Nice pick up! Just remember do it right the first time! All that extra stuff you buy to help make the car run better will pay off in the end. Less headaches that way. Welcome!!

Not an update yet..

So after some thinking I decided that I am removing the crossmember/subframe, suspension, and rear dif/ axels. I will be taking every little piece and examining it for normal wear and tear. All the parts will be sandblasted and or scuffed up for a nice rattle can job. I am Doing this because I am still sourcing a few more parts for the actual motor installation. I will start dismantling everything on Saturday. Pictures will be taken of the process. Sure it is not necessary but I am getting tired of just looking at the car. If y'all know something specific I should look at let me know!

Haven't been out to the shop a lot recently. I have been working to much. I live in Brookfield Wisconsin and my shop is located in Wales Wisconsin. I just did recently pick up some new wheels though! Worried about the size though. Spur of the moment buy. 4 white rpf1s. Front - 18x9 -38. Rear. -18x10 -38.

Will get better pictures when I open them all up.

Pretty nice compared to my other one. Just recently threw the wheels on. Don't really have any good pictures of them on yet though.

Yeah it seems like there are a lot out there. It is a 92 so it pretty unique being the last year they made that style. Nice! I think it is best to buy everything needed before starting it. Makes t much easier.

Well got some work done on the supra today. Changing out the fuel pump to the most common walbro 255. Also just got a rear hatch visor from a guy locally. Haven't installed the visor yet though.

Got some more work done on the supra! Got the oil pan. Also today I picked up a greedy intercooler for a good price. Wired it up to see what it will look like.
