There is way too many factors to answer that question!

How is your tune.. What type fuel do you plan on running....how big is your intercooler.... It depends on alot of different things.

its not really whether the 7m can handle it, its whether the stock components can...

^^^ Not necessarily true.

Fuel cut-out is based on the volume of air measured by the AFM...it will be much lower on a stock vs a Lexus AFM. It also depends on air density...altitude and OAT affect it. I have a Lex AFM and do not hit fuel cut until 16-18 psi depending on what OAT is.

Boost cut on a stock AFM, as jdub pointed out, lies around 12-14ish psi... depends on the motor and ambient conditions; temprature, air pressure, ect.

The stock CT-26, if i recall, will operate around 12psi, and drops off in efficiency from there. Yes, you can run it at 18psi, but not only will you get deminished returns, but the turbo will also fall apart, and generate more heat in the engine bay... all of which are bad.

To answer your question, 10-12psi is probably pretty good on a stock CT-26, 14 is pushing it, and at 16, you may as well write off that turbo, cuz it's gonna be toast real quick.

Trial by error does give accurate feedback.....eventually. Besides with the extra heat the ct generates above 12psi you could always roast chickens under the hood, AND selling them might help pay for the new turbo!

Seriously though if you have high mileage you probably should not push it over 9 or 10, you didnt say whether the motor had a full rebuild, how many miles on turbo, etc., etc. too many unknowns to give precise feedback.

wow ok guys give him a break hes learning just like we all did at some point. As some have said 12-14 is probably your best answer. And as other have said there are alot of factors on that as well. I would stick with what you have then learn before modding to an aftermarket turbo.

but seriously, we figure 12-14 on stock ct-26 is max before it become ineficient...

for the upgraded 57 trim CT-26, what would the number be approx?
