another broken part

I just broke my most recent part. In the door is some bar that stops the door from swinging to far out. The weld on that broke today and I didn't know if anyone else had any luck just rewelding that back together. I'm sure that it wouldn't be cheap from the dealer as they never are. Any imput would be helpfull. Thanks.

I've called around to most of the local places and I can almost hear them laugh on the other end when I ask for Supra parts. I'll keep trying though. How much did it cost you, and how hard was it to change? Thanks.

Which side is it? I've got two parts cars, and if I can fish it out of the door, I'll send it to you for small money.
It's called a "door check" or "check link" depending upon whom you talk to.

It's for the driver side. I almost never have a passenger so that one is probably mint.

lol yeah, the one in my supra clicks at the body side because the pin ovaled out the hole on the bracket... i just disconnected it, but a windy day and a close call made me hook it back up and deal with the noise. lol
I know that both of my parts cars have good ones, so I'll try to get one of them off of there.
