A MKIII forum member wanting to know who is low bid on something. I am shocked...

Anyway, I don't reload so get mine from SSA.

Wilson Combat has got in the game so I will do some testing of his stuff. I expect it to be accurate and fast.

Below is what my mags are loaded with.

6.8 SPC 115gr SSA OTM TACTICAL LOAD

Ballistic Coefficient: 0.317
Muzzle Velocity (fps): 2575
Muzzle Energy (ft-lb): 1694
100 Yards (inches): 3.3
200 Yards (inches): 0.0
300 Yards (inches): -11.6

Designed for the military, this round fragments on soft targets and has the accuracy of an Open Tip Match. Great Training Round. Boat Tail Cannelure.

1. This ammunition uses Mil-Spec primers, min 4.5lb hammer spring required.
2. Your weapon must be to Mil-Spec requirements for this ammunition to function
properly. Spec II chambered weapon with a 1:10 twist or slower.
3. SSA will not accept returns on this ammunition for failure to fire
.

I have the M4 zeroed for 200 meters, as that is much more practical. It will cross zero at 25 and 200 meters in my weapon, a much more usable battlesite zero.

The Wilson Combat looks really good on paper. They are using a Hornady bullet instead of Nosler. The SSA is a Nosler round. HPBT and OTM are the same thing. They are not a hollow point like you are thinking. It has a void in front that is needle like. It causes expansion with hydraulic force, but not hard barriers. HPBT is Hollow Point Boat Tail if you didn't know. This design is also accurate. OTM is Open Tip Match. Same thing. I think they just don't want to call it the same thing.
