It seems the carrier bearing is going out on my '89 turbo automatic and I'm thinking of going with a one piece driveline. Suprasport has both an aluminum and steel version about $100 difference in price. I was hoping for opinions on this mod. Thanks

I went with a shaft masters 1 piece aluminum and am happy with it. Great quality and fast shipping not to mention the price.

I have no problems with it, no vibrations at any speed that I've been up to yet.

The steel will be heavier than the aluminum, but one thing to keep in mind is the driveshaft critical speed which will depend on the wall thickness and such. Do a search on that and you'll find some good info.

I've seen personally aluminum one piece driveshaft break into two on hard launches. My crew had them on a few of their supras and at least three of them busted them on hard launches at the strip. Now they all use 1 piece steel with no complaints.
