altenator question

does anyone know which altenator from the sw20 will fit the supra and has more amps
its some oddball year and i think auto/turbo

You're thinking about the MR2 alternator...it's model year 1991 2.0L Turbo w/ Powersteering. 100 amp alternator...this model MR2 has electro hydraulic powersteering, hence the high output alternator.

so can you confirm that the altenator i a direct fit for the mkiii, also is there a specific part number for it

I had one on my car for while I was tracking down a charging problem. It is bigger than the stock alternator, but does fit just fine.

Yep...got one too. It's tight, but it does fit.

Yes it's a direct fit.

HOWEVER, you will need the 89+ alternator pulley. The 86.5-88 pulley does not fit on the shaft.

also if you can, get it from autozone... lifetime warranty
