Aem MAP and IAT recommened location?

2jzge with ffim and hx35w

so where should the IAT be mounted? some places say after the air filter but before the turbo,or in the intake but others say that it will heat soak, others say in the IC pipes after the IC

THEN

there is the 3.5 MAP sensor, iv read that it screws straight into the manifold and other places say use a vaccum line and have it remotly mounted off the motor so not to shake the sensor or heat soak or noise etc...

Thanks

I would put the IAT in the pipe before the throttle body. The map sensor I would mount near the fuse box and run a signal line from the intake manifold to it.

I have always put the iat after the intercooler but I guess stock it is before the turbo..... And put the map sensor wherever you think it looks best remote to the manifold

My map is plumbed off of the intake manifold, and the IAT is about 6 inches before the throttle body.

You can run new wires or use the stock ones, depends on how much you want to hack up your harness.

I didnt know they worked that way. I thought the aem standalone needed separate wires from the map and iat and ill prob mount my iat after my bov which is 2 feet from the throttle body. If i do it anywere else i might damage it but the mechanial fan

You can re-pin the wires at the ecu, using the factory wires in the harness just makes it a cleaner solution than running new ones. I'm NOT saying the factory AFM wires go to the right pins for your MAP and IAT sensors, you need to make sure they go to the right pins on the AEM ecu.

side view of the pipe to the TB and there isnt any room that would be safe imo for the IAT

so in the second picture i guess i could put it in the elbow for the bov?

and feel free to comment on a better route for the IC, i hate to cut my inner fender... and the battery is staying in the front
