I was doing some searching and couldn't find any good threads. From what I could find supra sport said +3 advance and -1 retard. I don't know which is intake or exhaust. Does anybody on here know.

I have my exhaust advanced and my intake retarded, but I've heard every car is different. You should really try adjusting them on a dyno where you can see the differences it makes when you adjust them. Good luck.

I'm to poor to afford dyno tuning. :aigo: But for real the closest one is about two hours from me. Thats why I havn't gone yet. So I was wondering a safe setting for the gears. I think that I'll go with what you have.

Safe would be zero on each one set at your cams timming tag. If stock cams, just set for zero, because with out a dyno, you are just guessing for your set-up.

Set themn at Zero, and then play....
2-4 degrees retard on both will give you more top end power.
2-4 degrees advanced on both will give you better bottom end.
Then try combos.
Remember,
you need to re-time the ignition every time you move the exhaust cam.

Advancing the exhausT, and retarding the intake will work well on a stock 7M turbo.

Heres a crazy question. With the cam gears which way do you turn to advance and retard.

I have 272/9mm with Exhaust Advanced 4.5* and Intake Retarded 2.5*. I'm not sure if there is a good consensus on adjusting the stock cam gears. Maybe the consensus is to spend your money on more useful things.
