Alright, so after seeing that a few other users have started photo threads of their own, I figured I'd hop on the bandwagon and throw a few together...

...these aren't really in any particular order or anything. Just shots that I enjoyed taking/liked the outcome of.

Yes, that's real fire. No photoshopping (except to alter colors and such).

This much snow usually doesn't occur in East Tennessee (Jefferson City, to be exact) very often.

I didn't put that there. I just took a photo of it.

For some reason, the colors on this image were much more vivid before I uploaded it. Strange.

Went spelunking the other day and managed to take ONE photo before my camera crapped out on me, and that's it. Jan '09

Ugh I want that les paul...

Nice work man!!!

I actually have two of 'em. That one was given to me as a gift. I ended up rewiring it and throwing a set of EMG Zakk Wylde pickups, Grover Tuners, straplocks, and a bone nut that I had an old guy that worked at my local music store make for me in it, then sanded, stained, and smoothed the neck with steel wool to make it super fast.

It's a super nice guitar, but it doesn't do clean sounds very well, since it has active pickups. For that I usually go with either a '72 tele deluxe or a Schecter C1-elite. Both are very nice sounding instruments.

Explain the water coming out of the ground please ;)
(great shots thanks for posting them)

It's in Knoxville, Tn (Where I'm currently attending college) at a small park near the river...

...There are a number of them, like fountains I suppose. Of course, they always kinda seemed like an overflowing manhole to me, hence the amusement.

Lol, well, it's not something that you see on a regular basis, so I figured I'd explain it anyway.

...added a couple photos the post number three. Nothing spectacular, but they're there.

Yeah, we love supras........... just not that one! :sarcasm:

j/k Nice photos. I'm a noob at stuff like that, but how did you do the fire? I know about long exposure, but did you walk with a torch around the car? I don't see anybody in the pic.

More or less. It was a super long exposure (30 sec or more) on a self-timer. I had a phone book on fire on the ground to light a spray paint can torch off of, then walk around the car...

...and, before anybody asks, the paint WAS directed AWAY from the car, and it wasn't windy at all, so the chances of paint landing on the car were slim to none.

If you plan on replicating that yourself, set your aperture as high as it will go (can't recall what mine was at) and set your exposure to 30sec and just play around with it.

It's also a good idea to wear black (or dark) non-reflective clothing, so you tend to disappear into the background. Gloves are a smart move, too.

Props to Adam Shelton (supranforever on here) for the use of his car...which was not harmed at all during the shoot.

...Oh, and don't light the car on fire. I don't want to see another "my car burnt to the ground" thread in the "for sale" section. :icon_bigg

...and what's wrong with that supra?

;-)

I love the way it looks with the carbon hood/lip/headlight covers.

I don't like the wheels, I'll give you that. They look tiny to me, even though they're 18's.

l_773d2d1315dee25aa36f956b749ef69a.jpg

But, all in all, I thought that the car looked pretty good.

Of course, I do have a lot of time invested in it (even though it's not mine), so I guess I'm kinda biased.
