First of all I very rarely need to post Q's but this one has me stumped. Yes I did search.

I have had my 2jz installed in my car for 4 years now. When i installed it I made custom urethane mounts. After 4 years the sump is almost sitting on the cross member. So its time to go with something better.

I have heard that you can run the 98+ MKIV captive mounts in place of the 89+ round crappy mounts. Is this true and can any one confirm the part number? I am using stock 1jz engine brackets.

The number I got from Toyota is 12360-461144

Thanks,

Jeremy

Yes 98 mkiv mounts can be used. You have to shave down the 'dowel pin' on it, but fits perfect. They're much stronger then the 89+ MKIII mounts.
