I called a couple of toyota dealerships around my area and they
said that toyota discontinued making wiring harnesses.
Before i gave up one of the parts gave me this part number:
Part Number 8212114051: WIRE, ENGINE
does anyone know specifically what it is?
i wanted to be 100% sure before ordering

Yep, I think these are discontinued. 92TealSupra was selling his awhile back ago, and his came from Japan(the last one from stock per him). Your only best bet is to get them rebuilt by Phoenix Tuning or 935 Motorsports.

Does anyone make Supra harnesses from scratch? Are the plugs available from anywhere? Toyota didn't make the plugs did they?

You can get the plugs from Phoenix Tuning. I don't know about anyone making the harnesses from scratch, those would be very expensive (materials and labor)

Phoenix can do new harnesses, not sure if Dr Tweak has done a 7M one before, but I'm sure if you sent him an old one, he could make a new one up. They also sell connectors from suppliers that provide the OE connectors.

Toyota also sells most connectors, and a few harnesses are still available from them as well.

do you need an auto or mtm harness? Most auto cannot be had.

87 - 88 mtm gte 82121-14442 5 in the US
8/91 - 5/93 mtm gte 82121-14711 0 in the US 4-6 weeks out of Japan (should work on a 91 as well)
8/88 - 8/89 gte mtm 82121-14550 5 in the US
8/89 - 8/90 mtm gte 82121-14711 0 in the US 4-6 weeks out of Japan

It took us approx. 5 weeks to get 92tealsupra's from Japan

Most dealers are too fucking lazy to order from Japan. Mine took a while because it was MADE, it wasn't some NOS part sitting on a shelf...

Find a decent dealer...

If you find a decent counter guy he can verify with your VIN... The number I thought mine was wasn't the right one, the counter guy found the right one.

You can also pull the harness out and there is a tag behind the large grommet on the firewall that has the part number IIRC...

Suprasport is probably buying from a dealership, and then selling to you.

Poodles is correct on the harness tag, provided you can still read it.

As posted in post#8 "82121-14711 4-6 weeks from Japan" . I'd need to make a call to verify 100%.

If anyone wants to inquire about the harness that their car requires, feel free to PM me, and I'll check it out for you.

I have a new '90 harness, still in the bag. Was considering returning it to Jeff Watson to get my $420 back. The only difference between it an the '91 is the 02 connector (round body on the '90 vs. square connector on the 91. Otherwise the sensors are the same if you don't want to splice. I believe but cannot guarantee that '92 is the same as '91. This is a USA harness.

PM me if you are intestested.

Bryan, can you verify if a 91 and 92 would be the same? How about the differences between the 92 and that 90 BernieK posted? Is the o2 the only difference? An oxygen sensor wouldn't be so hard to find, and $420 doesn't sound so bad with no wait.

87-90 has a round o2 plug and 91-92 has a 3 pin square plug. I ran into this swapping my 87 motor into a 91 shell. I tried to be smart and swap connectors on my o2,....the pins are different sizes, so I just bought a new sensor.

As far as 91-92, I see no immediate reason why it wouldn't work. If you have someone nearby w/ a 92, I'd look at it and compare.
