89 engine harness on a 92?

do they plug right up or do i need to do anything else? im trying to put a 89 7mgte with 89engine harness on a 92.
.
cause i heard that 91,92 are diferrent then 89 and 90. is this true??

Yep it's true. The chassis plugs are different. Not a huge hassle to change but only if you can find them.

You can make it work. That's what I have, and I HATE it!!!!!!!!

There is a thread I had with all of the info you need in it. After buying $75 worth of connectors, and repinning almost every plug on the harness it works. There are just a few things that don't work. Check engine light and air bag, along with a constant power drain are issues I have that I believe are due to my modifications.

I would suggest just trying to find a proper year harness, it will save a bunch of headache and your time.

What about dash harness? Would a 89 fit into a 91?

So do you even still have the car????? If you sold it, why are you still asking wiring questions? If you haven't sold it, I don't know what the bigger headache is, rebuilding an 89 harness to fit it or finding a 91-92 harness that will work.
